Where is Reddistores located?
Reddistores is located at Weights Farm, Weights Lane, Redditch, Worcestershire, B97 6RG. We are conveniently situated between Redditch and Alvechurch, opposite Abbey Stadium and around five minutes from Junction 2 of the M42, making us easily accessible from Redditch, Alvechurch, Bromsgrove, Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
What types of self storage do you offer?
We offer both domestic and commercial self storage, with secure indoor storage units as well as outdoor metal shipping containers. Our indoor facility is purpose-built and heated, making it suitable for household belongings, furniture, collectables, business stock, documents, equipment and other items that need to be kept in a secure, dry environment.
What size storage units are available?
We have over 200 storage units in a wide range of different sizes. This means you can choose a unit based on how much you actually need to store rather than paying for unnecessary space. Our team can help you work out the most suitable unit size for your belongings.
How do I know what size storage unit I need?
As a general guide, around 25 sq ft can accommodate approximately 100 archive boxes or the contents of a standard garden shed, while around 40 sq ft is comparable to the contents of a Transit van. Larger units are available for the contents of flats and houses. We recommend visiting Reddistores so that you can see the different unit sizes and discuss your requirements with our team.
When can I access my storage unit?
Customers can access indoor storage units seven days a week. Access is available from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 6pm on Sundays. You will have your own key and access code, allowing you to access your belongings during the customer access hours.
Is Reddistores secure?
Yes. Security is a major part of the Reddistores facility. The site is covered by CCTV and protected by alarm systems, including ADT and BT Redcare. Indoor storage units are individually alarmed, and customers have their own access code, lock and key.
Are the indoor storage units heated?
Yes. Reddistores is a purpose-built heated self storage facility. The indoor storage environment is designed to provide a secure, damp-free environment suitable for items such as furniture, collectables, household contents, business files, stock and equipment.
Do you offer outdoor container storage?
Yes. We offer outdoor metal shipping containers which are particularly useful for bulky items, business stock, tools and equipment. They are also convenient when you need to drive directly up to your storage space for loading and unloading.
Can I drive up to my storage unit?
Our outdoor containers allow you to drive directly up to the unit. For indoor storage, there are spacious parking and loading areas with enough room to accommodate large vehicles. The site has enough space to turn an articulated lorry and load two vans at the same time.
Can businesses use Reddistores?
Yes. We provide flexible commercial self storage for businesses needing additional space for stock, files, archives, office equipment, furniture and other business items. Commercial customers can also move into larger or smaller rooms as their storage requirements change, subject to availability.
Can I use Reddistores when moving house or renovating?
Yes. Our domestic storage units are ideal if you are moving home, renovating, decorating, downsizing or simply trying to free up additional space. You can store household furniture, boxes, collectables and other belongings for as long as you need the additional space.
How long do I have to rent a storage unit for?
Indoor storage contracts are charged per calendar month from the date you choose. Reddistores operates a 14-day notice period when you wish to vacate, with unused rent refunded in accordance with the rental terms. This provides flexibility if you are unsure exactly how long you will require storage.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A deposit equivalent to one month’s rent is required for indoor storage units, and rent is charged in advance.
Do I need insurance for my stored belongings?
Insurance is compulsory for indoor storage units. You can arrange your own suitable insurance, although proof of cover will need to be provided, or insurance can be arranged through Reddistores for an additional monthly charge based on the value of the goods being stored.
What can I store in a Reddistores unit?
Most household and business belongings can be stored, including furniture, boxes, collectables, documents, stock, tools and equipment. Flammable and perishable items cannot be stored.
Do you sell boxes and packing materials?
Yes. We sell a range of packaging and storage supplies including packing boxes, bubble wrap, sealing tape, marker pens, mattress covers, sofa covers, removal blankets and padlocks. This means you can pick up many of the packing materials you need directly from Reddistores.
Do you offer storage for tradespeople?
Yes. Storage units and outdoor containers can be useful for tradespeople who need somewhere secure to keep tools, equipment, materials or stock rather than leaving valuable items in vehicles. Outdoor containers are particularly convenient where regular drive-up access is required.
Can I change to a different size storage unit?
Commercial storage arrangements are flexible, and customers can request a move into a larger or smaller room as their requirements change, subject to availability. Speak to the Reddistores team if you find that you need more or less space.
Do you price match other storage companies?
Reddistores offers to match a like-for-like storage facility quotation within 10 miles, subject to the quotation meeting the applicable terms and being issued within the required period. Contact the team with the details of your quotation to discuss this.
Can I visit Reddistores before choosing a unit?
Yes, and we recommend doing so if you are unsure about the amount of space you require. You are welcome to visit the facility, look at the different storage options and speak to the team about the most suitable and cost-effective solution for your needs.
